38. Salvador, French Riviera
28,4 x 22,3 cm | Hand-watercolor lithograph
Who will write a geography of analogies? I found in Sologne the landscapes of the Iguaçu plain, and the Morvan evokes the hills of the Paraná. At first glance, Salvador reminded me of Monaco. The luminosity, the upper part of town on its rock overlooking the small harbor where small boats and sailboats rest, the beautiful gardens with the lush mango trees, palm trees or jackfruit trees, through which one can see down below the creeks with their emerald and sapphire waters, it was the French Riviera.
